KCGC appoints Dr. Harpreet Kaur as officiating Principal Khalsa College of EducationThe outgoing Principal of Khalsa College of Education,
Dr. Jaswinder Singh Dhillon was given a warm farewell today at the committee room of the college here today. The management office bearers, senior faculty and other staff members were present where the members recalled the services rendered by Dr. Dhillon who contributed immensely for the development and growth of the college.
Khalsa College Governing Council Honorary Secretary, S. Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina said that Dr. Dhillon is a dedicated and hard working professional educationist who was utmost sincere to his job. He said the college progressed leaps and bounds after he joined the college more than a decade before and left when the college was one of the most prominent Higher Educational Institution in the region. He congratulated Dr. Dhillon for his remarkable achievement of becoming the Vice-Chancellor of Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo.
Dr. Jaswinder Singh Dhillon has had a long academic association of around 35 years with KCCS wherein he has worked at several positions including Assistant Professor of Punjabi, Khalsa College; Principal, Khalsa College; Director of Academic staff, GNDU and Principal, Khalsa College of Education. He thanked the Management for their support and emphasized that KCCS is committed to promote higher education and contribute to the society holistically.Dr. Harpreet Kaur presided over as officiating Principal, Khalsa of Education in presence of the KCGC Hony Secy and office bearers. Speaking highly of her, S.RMS Chhina said that having an experience of 29 years in teaching, Mrs. Harpreet has been serving as the Vice-Principal of this prestigious college since 2007. She is also the content writer of E-modules of E-Pathshala, a project of Ministry of HRD and is member of Board of Studies and selection committee of GNDU, Amritsar. "Mrs. Harpreet would be an asset for the institution that had already been emerging as one of the best college for teacher education in the area." said he.
S. Sardool Singh Mannan, S. Rajbir Singh, Principal Jagdish Singh, S. Ajmer Singh Heir, S. Harbhajan Singh Soch, Dr. Mehal Singh and S. Nirmal Singh were present. Earlier the staff members of Khalsa College of Education also gave a warm and emotional farewell to him and promised him that his teachings and the work culture that he nurtured would continue.
